Colonie has really become the place to be this week...at least for me (this sentence almost entirely rhymes). But really, the stream of news which has piqued interest in Colonie as the month comes to a conclusion is really getting juicy.
I like to think it began with the South Colonie bus vandals. Once caught, community members felt relieved that some justice was brought to the front of the bus as two teens who thought it funny to spray fire extinguisher goo all over 38 buses are being held in Albany County Jail without bail (http://spotlightnews.com/247/article.php?article_id=tC1213883548t485a649c88b99).
Then there was the "discovery", more like the actualization of what officials knew was true from the beginning, of excess money being spent on paving a private parking lot. Yes, they paved paradise, and put up a parking lot...at the West Albany Gun Club.
Now, some controversy seems to be a'brewin in North Colonie (http://spotlightnews.com/247/article.php?article_id=tU1214352839t48618dc761a9c), while vandals appear to be continuing to tear up South Colonie.
All this excitement, anger, devastation. But hey, the Colonie Town Pool is opening this Friday.
