Couples announcements for December 2011



Bradshaw and King

Mary Beth and Michael Bradshaw of Rotterdam Junction, NY are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth to Dillon Jeffrey King, son of Louise and Jeffrey King of Ballston Lake, NY. The future bride and groom are both graduates of Loudonville Christian School. They are attending Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. A May 2012 wedding is planned.



Tim and Sandy Barrett of Delmar recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. In recognition of this wonderful milestone, a family party was given in their honor at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, followed by a trip to Kennebunkport, Maine. Tim and Sandy met during their college years in Binghamton, NY and were married on June 24, 1961. They moved to Iowa City, Iowa and Buffalo, NY before permanently relocating to Delmar in 1979 to raise their three children. (Dan of Oregon, Mark (Heidi) of Ithaca and Judy Strauss (Bryan) of Voorheesville. Their favorite pastimes include spending lots of quality time with their five grandchildren and traveling to Ireland.


Berens and Bucki

Ms. Kathleen Farley Berens and Mr. Craig Robert Bucki were married on November 12, 2011 at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo, New York. Rev. John P. Bucki, S.J., uncle of the groom, concelebrated the Nuptial Mass, along with Rev. Thaddeus Bocianowski, Rev. Joseph P. Gatto and Rev. Jerome E. Kopec. A reception was held at the Millennium Hotel in Cheektowaga. Mrs. Bucki is the daughter of Mr. Donald P. Berens, Jr. and Ms. Maureen Farley of Latham. She is a graduate of Shaker High School, Williams College, and the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a librarian, active in the New York Library Association. Mr. Bucki is the son of Hon. Carl L. Bucki and Dr. Deborah Bruch Bucki of East Amherst, New York. He is a graduate of Canisius High School, Yale University, and Columbia University Law School. He is an attorney associated with Phillips Lytle LLP in Buffalo. Ms. Anne Carroll was maid of honor for her cousin. Bridesmaids were: Mrs. Rebekah Nellis Kennedy, Ms. Rachel Ohm, and Ms. Melanie Woz. Mr. David Del Papa, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were: Mr. Paul Betley, Mr. Robert George, and Mr. Christopher Woz. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, Mr. and Mrs. Bucki will make their home in East Amherst, New York.


Pisciotta and Pohl

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pisciotta of Delmar, would like to announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Pisciotta to Christopher Pohl- son of Rhonda and Phillip Pohl of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada. Jessica currently has an elementary teaching position with the Harlingen School District in Harlingen, TX. Christopher is a Rig Manager for Savanna Energy, also in Texas. A wedding has been planned for October 2012.
