Rock of Ages Fundraiser

On Veteran’s Day of this year, Friday, 11-11-12 David Taylor Miller
would have been 22 years old.

Taylor was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and he enlisted
in the Army during his senior year. Sadly, he died on June 21, 2010 as
a result of a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan. He was buried July
28 in Arlington with full military honors and received the Bronze Star
and Purple Heart.

As many children do these days, Taylor struggled with his weight.
Despite many efforts, it was his goal of entering the Army that
ultimately inspired him to lose over 30 pounds. He was never happier.
Taylor’s Heroes will be promoting
fitness and nutrition to children in order to help them create a
healthy, happy lifestyle. Our goal is to provide children with the
tools and support they need to get healthy and stay healthy. This will
be achieved by offering different forms of exercise and nutritional
education, taught by certified professionals throughout the year. If
Taylor’s Heroes can help kids learn these skills, the benefits will
last a lifetime and it will be a worthy legacy for Taylor.

Taylor’s aunt Suzanne D’Iorio has a goal for Taylor’s Heroes. "Our
hope is that Taylor's Heroes will become a well recognized name in the
community synonymous with health and fitness. If we can accomplish
this, Taylor will have a true legacy that he would have been so very
proud of. "

The Rock of Ages fundraiser on November 10, 2012 will be held at
Universal Preservation Hall at 7:00 pm, Saratoga Springs, NY. The
