Author Eugene Linden discusses THE STATE OF THE EARTH, 2020 with award-winning author and essayist Lance Morrow, assessing, among other things, the environmental devastation caused by plastic bottles and bags and other forms of packaging, and the evolution of massive and growing oceanic “garbage patches.”

Linden, for many years wrote groundbreaking articles about the environment for TIME, including the magazine’s special issue in 1988 on “The Planet of the Year.”

At the Carey Center for Global Good, 63 Huyck Road, Rensselaerville, NY. The event begins at 5pm with an art exhibit and sale showcasing local artists and works inspired by local flora and fauna.
