Great Jewels have dazzled people for millennia, their beauty and value producing respect, deception, love and betrayal. This lecture explores how the eighteenth and nineteenth-century British ruling classes used jewelry to reinforce their positions in society and awe their peers. Curt DiCamillo, a former director of the National Trust for Scotland Foundation, USA, and a recognized authority on the British Country House, will discuss the tales behind these noble families, their houses, and their jewels, weaving a glittering web of power and position.
