First Reformed Church, founded in 1680, will celebrate its 333rd anniversary on February 3 with two events:
A special remembrance, beginning at 10:00 a.m., of the friendship between Schenectady’s earliest settlers and the Mohawk nation, and
An interfaith service at 3:00 p.m. commemorating the 60th anniversary of the actions of four Army chaplains who gave up their lives to save soldiers during World War II. Congressman Paul Tonko will present a posthumous award to a decorated Army chaplain from Amsterdam at this service.
All members of the community are welcome and invited to attend.
