The City and the First Presbyterian Church
Former assemblyman and Albany County Historian, Jack McEneny will tell the story of the intersection of the rich history of the church and its relationship to the city of Albany. McEneny is a well-known teacher and speaker on local history. He led the effort that saved Albany’s oldest building, chaired the Historic Sites Commission, and authored Albany, Capital City on the Hudson. The lecture will be preceded by a presentation to the Albany Institute by the First Presbyterian Church of two rare eighteenth-century artifacts. This lecture is offered in conjunction with the 250th anniversary of the First Presbyterian Church, Albany.
