: Unexpected Treats – Fresh Masterpieces for Harpsichord and Baroque Cello by Barbara and John Metz, celebrated classical music performers. A varied program will be performed including J. S. Bach’s intricate Second Sonata for viola da gamba and harpsichord, Bach’s descriptive Capriccio on the Absence of the Dear Brother, a sensual and resonant set of dances by Marin Marais (composer to Louis XIV), a chamber sonata by Telemann, and a short modern piece by Connecticut composer Michael Albaine.
