Ice Skating Lessons

The Albany Figure Skating Club, based in Delmar, NY, is pleased to again offer its popular United States Figure Skating (USFS)-sanctioned Basic Skills program, providing ice skating instruction for beginning skaters of all ages and abilities. Three eight-week sessions will start in September and will run through March 2013. This year, lessons will be offered at two locations:

• Albany Academy Field House, 117 Hackett Blvd. Albany on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, beginning Sunday, September 9, 2012; and

• Bethlehem Area YMCA, 900 Delaware Ave, Delmar, on Saturdays from 12:15 pm to 3:00 pm, beginning Saturday, September 15, 2012.

Recreational, figure skaters, and hockey skaters ages preschool to adult are welcome. This year, new specialty classes will be offered in addition to the group lessons, including classes in Learn to Compete, Learn to Synchro, Learn to Ice Dance, Hockey Skills, and much more.
