The next step for the subdivision will be preliminary site approval.
Vuillaume also came before the board with a proposal for Parkland Development, which would see the construction of six duplex units on 5 acres on the northern side of Route 146.
A proposed homeowners association will be responsible for maintenance of common lands and a private road that will provide access to the site. Vuillaume explained that the proposed access road will align with the entrance to the recently approved Brookhaven subdivision. A future connection to land to the west has been illustrated on the plan.
"The plan will incorporate pockets of open space as part of the plan and possibly a trail connection towards Sterling Heights Drive," Vuillaume said.
The board recommended that open space remain on the northwest section of the property, and will continue to work with the applicant to make adjustments regarding road access and alignment.""
