Proctors Theater joins play-creating consortium

Elephant Eye is currently working on producing three Broadway musicals, including "The Addams Family," based on the characters, cartoons and sketches of cartoonist Charles Addams; "Bruce Lee: Journey to the West," based on the martial arts star Bruce Lee and the Chinese warrior god the Monkey King; and "Saved," set in a Christian high school.

Oken, who is CEO and producer of Elephant Eye, founded the American Music Theater Project at Northwestern University and previously worked at Disney Theatrical where he is responsible for bringing "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King" to Broadway.

Elephant Eye's president Michael Leavitt is a multi-Tony Award winning producer. He is responsible for "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," the revival of "Death of a Salesman" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."
