The momentum carried over into the second quarter. Steve Lefebvre gave Niskayuna a 4-3 lead early in the period, and D'Amario and DiSarro expanded it to 6-3 with two more goals.
Nunamacher got Guilderland back within a goal with two tallies, but Romer, DiSarro and Rob Prendergast scored in the final six minutes to put Niskayuna up 9-5 at halftime. The Silver Warriors added two man-advantage goals in the first five minutes of the third quarter to build an 11-5 lead.
"We've got some pretty intelligent offensive players, and they make space for each other," said Vorgang. "They shot the ball well, too."
Nunamacher did his best to rally Guilderland. The sophomore midfielder scored three of his team's final four goals to finish with a game-high six tallies.
"I thought he was our best midfielder all year but he didn't have a game like this before," said Guilderland coach Sean McConaghy.
Romer contributed two goals, and Seth Berggren added a goal and an assist for Niskayuna, which lost to Yorktown (Section I) 6-5 in Tuesday's regional.""
