"Until we reach a point where we really want to explore candidates, we will not be publishing any names," Weisz said.
Aidala said the salary range given to candidates who applied for the superintendent's position was around $160,000 a year.
Community interviews with the final candidates for the job will begin July 9.
After those meetings, the board will then cut the field down to three finalists.
"We want to be in a position to make an offer to one of the candidates by August," Weisz said.
The school board would like the new superintendent in place before the district budget process begins in November.
