Mohonasen's budget passes

Mohonasen's $40.2 million budget passed Tuesday night with 990 residents voting \yes and 589 voting "no."

The budget represents a 4 percent increase with a projected tax levy increase of 4.25 percent, which is the lowest increase in more than five years.

Also, a resolution to purchase five full-size school buses at a cost of $430,000 passed with 1,071 voting "yes" and 484 voting "no."

The two new members of the Mohonasen School Board are Dominic Cafarelli with 772 votes and Charles Macejaka with 729 votes.
