ALBANY: Tradition returns to light up the season

Hannaford supermarkets will be selling advanced tickets for the discounted price of $10, a $2 savings off regular admission price. Advanced sales are currently available at all Hannaford supermarkets in the Capital District, and are valid through the entire six-week engagement. This is a relatively new method of selling tickets for Capital Holiday Lights, which started last year. One $10 ticket is good for one carload of people.

Capital Holiday Lights will be switched on Friday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m., and runs through Tuesday, Jan. 1. Showings will be nightly from Sunday through Thursday; 6 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6 to10pm.

Admission is $12 per car; $20 per limousine or 15-person passenger van, and $75 per bus. The Washington Park Lake House will be open most evenings at the end of the drive-through, where a cast of holiday characters will be present, as well as refreshments. Santa Claus will be available through Dec. 23, and carriage rides throughout the park will also be available most nights.""
