Parent Dave Prescott said he has seen the redistricting process in other communities and told parents that children are "resilient" and will be fine with whatever decision is made.
"All that matters to the kids is that their neighborhood friend goes to the same school," said Prescott.
The school board is working on goals for the committee to adhere to during the redistricting process.
"The criteria being reviewed includes balance loads of each school versus student enrollment, boundaries becoming more rational, and affecting the fewest families possible," said Loomis.
The next meeting of the committee was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Adams Street educational center. The meeting after that will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2.
