Walgreens eyes Glenville location

In other local development news, plans for another pharmacy in Scotia have been abolished after the village Planning Board rejected a Rite Aid application due to the lack of a complete application. Village Board Trustee and liaison to the board Armon Benny said this was a procedural decision as a result of the Rite Aid representatives not responding to the meeting notices of the Planning Board for three consecutive meetings.

"The village has heard that the project was put on hold because of the downturn of the economy and that is why the representatives didn't come to the meetings," said Benny. ""
