"You will learn about pollution, surface water drainage, and the history of the town," said Odell.
Planning board Chairman Parker Mathusa said Odell was a board member who brought great enthusiasm to his work, and he will be missed.
"His comments were very constructive, and he interacted well with board members to advance the comprehensive plan," Mathusa said.
Odell believes much of the future work of the board will be to follow through on the master plan concept and ensure new development fits well aesthetically.
"The new standards give the board far more authority to enforce a vision for the town," said Odell.
