Grimm also questioned other hires in the animal control office and a public relations person in the parks and recreation department and said the town needed to cut spending even further rather than making new hires.
The budget also included funding for new equipment in Tawasentha Park, something that Redlich pushed for in earlier discussions.
Runion reiterated, though, that Redlich should not have participated in the budget process because he has practiced in the town's court, and Runion cited it as a potential conflict of interest. He also criticized Grimm for "spinning numbers" during budget discussions.
