Flooding damages district office

A phone list for displaced offices is being updated on the district's Web site, www.bhbl.org.

Hostetter housed three private school programs. K-Care was relocated to Pashley Elementary School. The Crossroads Center for Children and the Montessori School of Schenectady are closed until they can relocate.

Also displaced was a year's supply of copier paper the district stores in the Hostetter gymnasium. It largely survived the flooding.

In other district news, the board of education has selected a replacement member to fill President Nancy Della Pia's seat. Della Pia resigned last month in anticipation of moving to the Binghamton area.

Replacing her will be Patre Kuziak, the co-owner of Marcella's Restaurant and a candidate for the school board last May. She has two sons in the school district and is president of the Burnt Hills-Scotia Glenville Hockey Association.

The board interviewed three candidates for the seat at their Tuesday, Nov. 4, meeting. It is expected that Kuziak will be sworn in at the board's next meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 18, and a new president will be chosen from the other six members.""
