CM Fox to launch design center

Real estate company CM Fox is in the midst of constructing a new headquarters and design center, set to make shopping for home builders and suppliers more convenient.

The CM Fox Design Center will provide customers with the opportunity to have top companies with several locations and name recognition, related to home building and improvement in one location, said Troy Miller, president and founder of CM Fox Real Estate.

"It's a way to streamline the selection process for businesses and homeowners," Miller said.

Miller said he is not releasing the names of the businesses interested in occupying the building, but said he has eight "letters of intent," thus far.

The Design Center is located at 2390 Western Ave. and is going to be the only one of its kind in Albany County, according to information provided by CM Fox.

"We will house 10 to 15 of the Capital District's top suppliers of home-building products and supplies," according to information from CM Fox.

Kathy Burbank, executive director for the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce said Guilderland Town Supervisor Ken Runion was part of a ceremony to introduce the building Tuesday, Sept. 23.

She said residents have been curious about the building, and the Chamber wanted to provide them with a chance to learn about it.

The first-floor headquarters of the center is expected to be finished by Jan. 1, and the upstairs design center is set for a March completion.
