Niskayuna stuck at No. 3 in Liberty Division

In other football action this weekend, Schalmont can wrap up an undefeated run through the Class B West Division with a victory over Broadalbin-Perth Friday, while Scotia-Glenville can earn a Class A Sectional berth by beating Averill Park Saturday.

Schalmont (3-0, 5-1) looked sharp in a 38-8 non-league victory over Granville last Saturday. The Sabres scored the first 31 points before the Golden Horde got on the scoreboard in the third quarter.

Quarterback Kyle McKelvey led Schalmont's offense with a pair of touchdown passes to Ryan Hyde and a one-yard scoring run, while tailback Vincent Gallo rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown.

Scotia-Glenville (1-3, 1-5) still has a chance to make the Class A playoffs despite a 44-14 loss to Lansingburgh last Friday. The Tartans are tied with Averill Park (1-3, 2-4) for fourth place, since the Warriors didn't earn their first Division I win until last Friday's 25-12 victory over Mohonasen.""
