Each year at their annual meeting, the VersaTrans employees choose another theme that will help them strengthen their company. This year, Fallon said, the employees chose to work on team building and building better products for their clients.
The project also fit into the company's goal of helping children, and the employees felt those children dealing with cancer treatments deserved something nice after facing such tough challenges at a young age. Fallon said.
"Helping kids is all about what we do," she said.
Public Relations Specialist for Albany Medical Center Kristen Cook said when the company approached Albany Medical Center with the idea, doctors were in charge of choosing which children would receive the houses.
"It was a random selection by the doctors," Cook said.""
