Blown transformer knocks out power, closes roads in Bethlehem

National Grid is currently working on Adams Street and Hudson Avenue because of a blown transformer and some pole replacement work in the area, according to town officials.

Supervisor Jack Cunningham said some of the homes in the area may be experiencing power outages as a result of the work. However, he said the work should be completed by this evening, Tuesday, April 7.

Hudson Avenue is currently blocked off on Delaware Avenue and Adams Street is blocked off on Kenwood Avenue. There appears to be a congregation of National Grid vehicles and emergency workers on the corner of Hudson Avenue and Adams Street.

Alternative routes should be used if possible.
