Scotia-Glenville girls take over first place

The Silver Warriors meet Bishop Maginn next Monday in a non-league game.

Schenectady Christian (4-0) cruised to a 43-23 non-league win over Loudonville Christian last Friday in Scotia. Monica Compton's 16 points led the Falcons, who built a 19-2 lead in the first quarter.

Schenectady Christian returned to Western Atheltic Conference action Tuesday when it hosted Mayfield. The Falcons are off until next Monday when Monument Mountain (Mass.) visits Scotia.

Schalmont (0-6) remained winless after falling to Watervliet 49-23 last Friday. Meghan Strijek scored nine points to lead Schalmont.

The Sabres looked to break their losing streak when they hosted Cobleskill Tuesday."
