Glenville police assist in arrest of pedophile

The Glenville Police, with the assistance of the Schenectady Police and the Schenectady District Attorney's Office, have arrested Kenneth Kimball, age 52, of Union Street in Schenectady.

Kimball was arrested after an investigation into an alleged incident which occurred in Glenville in 2002. Kimball is accused of sexually abusing a female victim who was thirteen years of age at the time of the incident.

Kimball was charged with rape in the first degree, two counts of sodomy (a felony charge valid for that year), forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child--both misdemeanors.

Kimball was arraigned before Town Justice Davenport in Glenville Court and remanded to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Kimball is scheduled to appear in Town Court at a later date.
