Shenendehowa fends off Niskayuna

The Shenendehowa girls basketball team hung on for a 48-46 victory over Suburban Council North Division rival Niskayuna Thursday night in Clifton Park.

The Plainsmen (14-2 league, 16-4 overall) built a 27-20 halftime lead, but the Silver Warriors rallied in the second half before falling short.

Roslyn Alexander netted 13 points, and Allie Setter contributed 10 points for Shen, which locked up first place in the North Division.

Lisa Rufer scored 15 points, and Kim Fagan added 10 points for Niskayuna (10-6, 13-6)."
