Niskayuna girls get by Burnt Hills

Five players scored at least four points for the Red Raiders (3-6, 5-6), led by Nicole Manupella's 10 points.

Kelly Piotrowski scored 13 points for Schalmont (2-9, 3-10), which trailed Mechanicville 22-14 at halftime.

South Glens Falls never let Scotia-Glenville's offense get going in a 33-20 Foothills Council victory last Friday.

The Bulldogs (5-2, 5-6) allowed six points in each of the first two quarters before slamming the door on the Tartans with a 16-8 second half.

Chelsea Carruthers netted 13 points, and Alexa Toole added 10 points for South Glens Falls. Cassie Broadhead's 10 points paced Scotia-Glenville (2-5, 4-8).

Four area teams were in action Tuesday. Niskayuna traveled to Guilderland for a Suburban Council game, while Mohonasen welcomed Shaker to Rotterdam. Scotia-Glenville hosted Gloversville in a Foothills Council contest, and Schalmont visited Cohoes in the Colonial Council."
