Shenendehowa girls take Class A track title

Colonie's Tehresa Coles swept the throwing events in the field competition. Coles won the shot put with a distance of 37 feet, 8/25 inches, and she finished first in the shot put with a throw of 112 feet, 2 inches one inch ahead of Guilderland's Briana Del Bene.

In the relays, Shen took first in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter events, while Ballston Spa sprinted to the 400-meter title. Klein, Kelly Preston, Alex Burtnick and Anna Suriano led Shen's 1,600-meter relay team to a first-place finish in a time of 4:03.2, while the Shen quartet of Burtnick, Predmore, Nicole Irving and Gina Stalica won the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:21.2.

Ballston Spa's 400-meter relay team of Alex Kambourelis, Carrie Mansir, Jennifer Stodgell and Julie Loewenstein won with a time of 50.8 seconds."
