Guilderland boys reach regional final

The Guilderland boys lacrosse team outscored Warwick Valley 5-1 in the second quarter on its way to a 10-6 victory in last Saturday's regional semifinal game at the University at Albany.

Travis Moore led the Dutchmen (18-2) with three goals. Paul Jones contributed two goals and two assists, while Rory Nunamacher tallied twice and chipped in an assist.

Goaltender Christian DePersis stopped 10 shots for Guilderland, which was scheduled to play Section I champion Yorktown in Tuesday's regional final at UAlbany.

The Dutchmen advanced to regionals by beating Shaker 8-4 in last Wednesday's Section II, Class A final at UAlbany.

Shaker scored three times in the second quarter to grab a 4-2 halftime lead before Guilderland closed the game with six unanswered goals.

Nunamacher had a hat trick, while Moore and Matt Siracusa each tallied twice for the Dutchmen."
