Altamont Mayor James Gaughan defended his seat against Harvey Vlahos, according to the Village of Altamont clerk's office.
Gaughan won the election gaining 327 votes from village residents, while Vlahos gained 18.
A swearing-in ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 7, according to the village clerk's office.
