Sparks said the annex hopes the adoption rate will be a little higher during the holiday season because of the convenience and location, but that the volunteers always discourage impulse adoptions.
"We never want to see people adopting on impulse because this is a lifetime commitment," said Sparks. "We do hope that more people who are thinking of adopting this season will find us, though."
The annex is located between the food court and Boscov's. Kittens cost $50 and cats older than 12 weeks cost $75. Shoppers can stop by Monday thru Friday 6 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 1 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m.
