Shenendehowa boys soccer coach Mike Campisi is now in exclusive company.
With last Friday's 2-0 victory over Bethlehem, Campisi earned his 500th career win. Maple Hill's Dan Gillespie is the only other Section II coach to surpass 500 wins.
David Clemens scored both goals for the Plainsmen (9-1-1). Clemens tallied off a feed from Chris Jenkins late in the first half, and he scored on a penalty kick in the second half.
Campisi received victory No. 501 Tuesday when Shen defeated Mohonasen 3-0 in Clifton Park. Michael Jenkins scored in the first half, with Clemens and Grantley McLeod adding second-half goals.
The victory over Mohonasen kept Shen one point ahead of Saratoga Springs in the Suburban Council North Division standings entering Thursday's home game against Shaker.
Saratoga (8-2-1) kept pace with Shen by beating Colonie 2-1 Tuesday.
The Garnet Raiders (3-6-2) grabbed a 1-0 lead on Tommy Osipitan's first-half goal, but Tristan Frey and Will Johns tallied in the second half to give the Blue Streaks the comeback victory.
Saratoga will try to extend its unbeaten streak to seven games Thursday when it travels to Niskayuna, which has won its last two games.
In other Suburban Council boys soccer action Tuesday, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake played Guilderland to a scoreless tie, while Bethlehem shut out Ballston Spa 2-0.
Guilderland (6-3-2) outshot BH-BL (3-5-2) by a 2-to-1 margin, but Spartan goaltender Matt Horan made several saves to keep the Dutchmen off the scoreboard.
Ballston Spa (7-4) couldn't get anything by Bethlehem goaltender Dan Maddock, who stopped nine shots. Mike Mulhall and Chris Wilsey scored for the Eagles (8-3).
BH-BL travels to Ballston Spa Thursday for a Suburban Council North Division game."
