Bethlehem police investigating robbery

Bethlehem police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Trustco Bank branch at 167 Delaware Ave. in Delmar on Monday night.

According to police, a call was received at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Oct. 19 reporting the robbery. Two males dressed in dark clothing wearing hoodies and armed with handguns reportedly demanded a deposit bag from a victim, who complied. The suspects fled on foot eastbound towards Normanskill Boulevard, according to police.

An Albany Police Department K9 Unit assisted in tracking the suspects, but they were not located. The amount of money stolen is unknown at this time. An investigation is continuing.

The Bethlehem Police Department is asking anyone who might have information on the robbery to contact police at 439-9973.
