Malta needs volunteers for Planning, Ethics

Town of Malta's Planning Board and Ethics Committee are looking for volunteers.

If you're interested in land use and the future of Malta, the Malta Town Board encourages you to send a letter of interest.

The Planning Board position requires attending one to two Planning Board meetings a month (the meetings are often lengthy), reviewing several projects a month and offering recommendations on the projects. The Planning Board often times has several site visits and workshops throughout the year too. Per a recent New York State Law, the Planning Board Member will also be required to attend at least four hours of training each year related to Planning and Zoning.

The Malta Town Board is also seeking volunteers to serve on the Malta Ethics Committee.

Anyone interested in volunteering for the Planning Board or Ethics Committee can send a letter of interest and resume to Supervisor Paul. J. Sausville, Town of Malta at 2540 Route 9, Malta, New York 12020 or email supervisor@malta-town.org.
