Students get chance to learn how town works

Students from Colonie's high school will be recognized at the town board's Thursday, April 29, meeting for Students in Local Government Day.

Shaker High School, Colonie Central High School and the Christian Brother's Academy will be given a chance to shadow government agencies during Friday, April 30, according to town officials, and the students will be treated to a demonstration by police later in the after noon.

The students will have a chance to have breakfast with Supervisor Paula Mahan, before observing town operations.
