Nearly 40 Capital District restaurants and eateries are offering a special pricing on selected three-course meals for the first Travers 1864 Restaurant Week, which takes place Sunday, Aug. 22, through Thursday, Aug. 26. The menu offerings lead into the 141st running of the Travers Stakes on Saturday, Aug. 28, at Saratoga Race Course.
During the five-day event, diners can chose a three-course meal at a number of participating restaurants for a fixed price of $18.64, the same year as the inaugural Travers. The fixed price might not include tax, gratuity and beverage.
Travers 1864 is one element of a community-wide celebration in honor of our biggest and most historic race, said Neema Ghazi, director of marketing for The New York Racing Association, in a prepared statement. "We'd like to encourage all of our fans to take part in the many festivities that help to make the Travers Stakes the social and sporting event of the season."
Below is the current list of confirmed restaurants participating throughout Schenectady County.
