Potential cell tower makes waves

The Town of Colonie Zoning Board passed a variance to allow a Verizon cell phone tower at the Loudonville Presbyterian Church in June 2009, an issue that is expected to draw a number of dissidents at tomorrows Thursday, March, 11, town board meeting.

An email to The Spotlight from a Loudonville resident, Wendy Allen, expressed concerns about the tower's potential proximity Loudonville Elementary School.

Amy Fox, also a resident, said she is expecting the issue to be raised at the town board meeting, and is seeking additional information about the plans for the tower.
