Halfmoon Town Councilman Craig Hayner (R/C), was endorsed unanimously Sunday evening by the Saratoga County Conservative Party for his candidacy for the 109th New York State Assembly District, according to campaign officials.
The endorsement was the culmination of an interview of all the candidates coordinated by the County Chair, Bob Roe, and all the Saratoga Conservative Party Town Chairs. This latest endorsement goes along with Hayner's earlier endorsement by the Town of Halfmoon Republican Committee.
I want to thank Chairman Bob Roe, the town Conservative Chairs and their members for conducting an open and thorough process to consider the candidate best suited to bring common sense conservative leadership to Albany for the people of this great district, said Hayner. "It is humbling to have secured their endorsement and I look forward to running this fall on the Conservative party line."
Hayner said New York is in "dire need" of spending restraint and tax cuts to keep more of what the state earns in the private sector and in the hands of small businesses.
Hayner is adding to his campaign team and said he is committed to running a positive, issues oriented campaign focused on ways to fix policies he believes undermine economic growth, cause over spending and create public distrust of State government.
