Subway to replace CynderElla's

The Four Corners in Delmar won't be without a dedicated sandwich shop for very longa Subway is to replace the recently shuttered CynderElla's Subs.

A building permit was issued through the Town of Bethlehem on Tuesday, May 4.

CyderElla's owner Ella Ruff said she did not close for financial reasons.

It was definitely time for a change," she said. "I had been there 15 years, and that's a long time."

Ruff said she'd been seeking a buyer for about 18 months now, and that the owners of the Subway franchise in Delaware Plaza will be taking over the Four Corners location.

Ruff will be continuing to offer catering services through the American Legion of Delmar, and said she wouldn't rule out opening another, smaller business in the future.

"I have my eyes and ears open," she said. "Hopefully my customers will support Subway going in."

Ruff can be contacted through the American Legion at 439-9819 or through her Facebook profile.""
