A Valley Falls man accused of robbing Glens Falls National Bank in Schuylerville on March 8, pled guilty to Robbery in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree on Friday, May 14, according to Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy.
Donald Swanson, 33, is expected to receive a jail term of two-and-a-half years to five years at his sentencing, scheduled for July 9, according to information from Murphy's office.
Swanson allegedly robbed the bank on the morning of March 8, and an investigation by Saratoga County Sheriff's Department and New York State Police used forensic analysis of evidence, including stolen money. Murphy said recovery of evidence was crucial in making the case.
