Shaker uses pack mentality to win Springstead Invy

Shen's Lizzie Predmore won the individual title with a time of 17:33.2 " the fourth-fastest time recorded on the Colonie Town Park course at the Springstead Invitational.

Predmore credited the pressure she felt from Queensbury twins Brittany and Danielle Winslow " who finished a respective second and third " for helping her record her time.

"It's good because we could push each other," said Predmore. "I feel we helped each other get good places and times."

Loudonville resident Catherine Maloy was the top runner from the town of Colonie in the girls race. The Holy Names student placed fourth with a time of 18:27.6, eight seconds ahead of teammate Leah Triller (18:35.8).

Christine Coughlin led Shaker with a 10th-place finish in a time of 19:30.2. Kayleigh Lavender was 17th with a time of 20:02.1, and Blair Burke finished 21st with a time of 20:11.3.

Amy Becker paced Colonie with a 20th-place finish in a time of 20:08.4.""
