Andy Mink takes Saint Michael's coaching job

Colonie native moves into first varsity job at collegiate level

— Colonie native Andy Mink was named head coach of the Saint Michael's women's volleyball program Wednesday.

Mink replaces Chris Kilmer, who posted 32 wins in three seasons at the Vermont-based NCAA Division III school.

"Working as the head coach of a varsity program will give me an opportunity to fully implement all of the skills, traits, and experiences that make up my vast career in volleyball," said Mink in a press release. "I hope to bring energy, effort, and enthusiasm to my brand new program."

Mink was an assistant coach at Plattsburgh State last season. Prior to that, he was the head coach of Siena College's men's volleyball club program and coached Oswego State's club volleyball programs from 2007 through 2009.

Mink is also the owner and director of the Northern Impact Volleyball Club. He coached the 518 Volleyball Club and the Legion Volleyball Club.
