SCHENECTADY COUNTY — UPDATE: The county has lifted the water conservation order.
Schenectady County has issued an emergency water conservation order, effective until further notice.
County officials say residents should only use water for drinking, cooking and sanitary concerns (i.e. flushing).
Municipalities might have to shut down water systems due to the severity of flooding across the area. If that happens, residents will start using limited water reserves.
