Arrest made in connection with Guilderland burglaries

Guilderland police have arrested a man they say entered several unlocked cars, garages and homes in the Westmere area of the town.

Robert Fisher, 22, formerly of Guilderland, has been charged with two counts of Burglary in the second degree. Police said more charges are expected.

Fisher is accused of stealing items such as laptops, Ipods, cell phones, credit cards, gift cards and money.

Police said the arrest is unrelated to a string of home burglaries in the Guilderland Center and Fort Hunter areas of the town.

Anyone who may have information on cases in the area is asked to call Guilderland police at 365-1501.
