Editorial: Time out on blame game

So let’s not be too quick to judge. Similarly, those who think this story has no place in the news should reconsider exactly how badly this methadone incident could have turned out, and the media’s responsibility to bring objective light to the matter.

So while there’s a lot of blame to be passed around from all sides here, it’s best to try to keep things in perspective. Bad apples spoiling things for the rest of the bunch is not a new phenomenon, and while these apples are making trouble in new and troubling ways we feel they’re still outnumbered by the good eggs.
