Start of Hanukkah celebrated in Delmar

To celebrate the first night of Hanukkah, a menorah lighting ceremony was held Dec. 20 at the Four Corners in Delmar.

Rabbi Nachbar Simon and his family led the event, which ended with the lighting of a towering electric menorah placed at the corner of the intersection.

About 25 people attended the menorah lighting, including Bethlehem Supervisor Sam Messina and Supervisor-elect John Clarkson.
