Man arrested after making rounds

Colonie police have arrested a suspect after witnesses saw him breaking the window of a car in a CVS parking lot at Newton Plaza, according to Lt. John Archambault

The suspect took off northbound on route 9, but Police were able to get information from the witnesses regarding his physical description and his license plate number.

The suspect was then spotted by a Colonie police investigator at a Hess gas station on Route 9. Once the suspect noticed the investigator, he took off again.

Minutes later, Archambault said police received a call from an employee from West Marine in Latham Farms, who said they saw the suspect acting suspicious and ran out. Police then converged on the suspect at Latham Farms and spotted him at Staples.

Police then engaged in a foot pursuit before apprehending him at Pizzeria UNO's next door, according to Archambault.
