Brookside to host Victorian tea party

Ever wondered what a traditional Victorian Tea Party would be like? Find out on Feb. 24 at Brookside Museum when it hosts a favorite event with Sue McLane, the Victorian Lady.

Brookside, home of the Saratoga County Historical Society, located at 6 Charlton St. in Ballston Spa, invites local kids to a Victorian Tea Party during the Winter Recess. McLane, the Victorian Lady, will guide the kids through a celebration of Victorian culture, learning about clothing, manners and pastimes. The children will also plan, prepare and enjoy a tea party. Games and craft activities will also be included.

Two sessions will be held on Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Fee for the tea party is $7.50 per child and is designed for children ages 5 to 12. Pre-registration is required and limited to 15 children in each session so register by contacting Linda by email at lgorham@brooksidemuseum.org."
