Police searching man who robbed Holiday Inn Express in Clifton Park

State Police are looking for a man who robbed the Holiday Inn Express on Plank Road in Clifton Park early Friday, July 1.

According to police reports, around 4:42 a.m. on July 1 a white male suspect accosted a female receptionist at the Holiday Inn Express, forced open the cash drawer and fled the scene on food with an unknown amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, tall (6') with a slender build and who appeared to be tan and with about a day growth of beard. He was wearing a dark knit hat, a hoodie and dark pants.

State Police responded to investigate and search for the suspect with patrols, a police canine and a helicopter. Saratoga County Sheriff's Office also responded to assist in the search and brought patrols and a police canine, according to police reports.

Police say there is a strong possibility the robber acted in concert with someone else.
